About Trish’s Journey to Healthier Living

Hello and welcome! I’m Trish, the heart and hands behind Healthy Living with Trish.

I reside in Alberta, Canada with my husband and two amazing boys. I am a child of God, a lover of the outdoors, endurance runner, fitness enthusiast and a huge advocate for healthy living. I am also a certified nutrition coach and certified endurance running coach. When I am not outdoors, I love spending time in my kitchen cooking and baking healthy and delicious recipes for the people I love.

My journey to healthy living was not always a healthy one. I struggled many years of my adolescence and early adulthood with disordered eating, striving for what the world around me was telling me was ‘healthy’. My journey has not only been about learning about the true foundations of nutrition and health but also about unlearning the narratives of diet culture that I viewed as healthy for many years of my life. Healthy living is about focusing on simplicity and finding joy in the journey. It is about doing the things I love while nurturing my body through wholesome food and simple daily habits that focus on my mind, body and spirit. I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others. My hope is that in sharing my journey, it will inspire you to adopt new habits to living your healthiest life! Thank you for being here and coming alongside me!

Fun Facts About Me
  • I like to set the clock 10 minutes ahead to make sure I’m not late for things
  • I have an amoebic parasite in my right eye. I have named it Herman. Herman took up residence in my cornea in 2004 while I was backpacking in Australia with my husband. Herman has since gone dormant and has remained that way
  • Before becoming a mom, I was a wildlife biologist for 10 years. I will forever be one at heart
